PUERTO
OCTAY: beautiful port in the north
of the lake Llanquihue located in a calm bay protected by the
peninsula Sentry where it is “La Mansión” (today
a hotel), built in 1912 when newly the railroad to the capital
was inaugurated. In the whole city it can be discovered an important
architecture of century beginnings that denotes a lost splendor
with the end of the lake navigation caused by the arrival of the
railroad.
