QUELLON:
been founded in 1906 by the Company Destilatorio Quellon S.A.
that created the port and an industrial plant in the means of
150,000 hectares of their property to produce acetone, methylic
alcohol and vegetable coal.
It
is the shipment point toward Chaitén and Port Aisén
and it also receives the fishing production from the whole region
to the south of Chiloé.
It
is very interesting to travel the most southern area in the island
and getting to Yaldad, a very small town with good beach, “choros”
hatchery and the only “bongos” (primitive canoes of
trunks emptied by fire).
