FISHING:
In the last years it has been developed the sport fishing notably
in the Galician river, being visited by lovers of this sport that
come from all parts of the country and of the world. Excellent
brown trout copies (seatrout) are obtained that reach behaviors
that overcome the 10 kilos. |

The cathedral, located in front of the square San Martin, declared
National Historical Monument. This church is an exponent of the
constructive techniques of the XIX century. • The Museum Provincial Father Manuel Jesus Molina, in which archaeological, paleontological, geologic, botanical and zoological collections are conserved. • The Museum of the Pioneers, in which objects corresponding to the settlers of the region are exhibited. • The coastal avenue, where you can appreciate the show of the width of tides that registers in this region of the Patagonia. |

the natural reservation of ‘Cabo Vírgenes’:
to the south of Río Gallegos by the provincial route #1.
Declared Provincial Reservation in 1986 to protect the second
more important patagonic colony of magellan penguins. It is located
in the southeast end of the American continent. To ‘Punta Loyola’: 37 kilometers to the east of Río Gallegos. In this place where the river Gallegos ends in the ocean Atlantic, big cliffs can be observed and it is an excellent place for the sport fishing. |
